IGNOU Online Admission July 2025 – Last Date, Process, and Guidelines
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened the IGNOU online admission portal for the July 2025 session. Students can now apply online for a wide range of programmes offered by the university under the Common Prospectus.
The admission process is simple, fully online, and applicable to most Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate (UG), and Postgraduate (PG) programmes. However, certain courses that require entrance exams or are based on merit follow a different admission process.

Last date of IGNOU Online Admission Jan 2025
✅ Last Date to Apply Online: 15th July 2025
This date applies to most Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree programmes.
Before filling out the admission form, it is highly recommended that students download the Ignou prospectus and understand the course structure, eligibility, and fee details.
The soft copy of the prospectus is available free of cost for downloading.
Required Documents:
The learners should have academic qualification certificates, photograph, signature and other required documents in the form of scanned copy along with them while applying for admission.

How to apply for IGNOU Online Admission?
- Visit the admission portal: https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in
- Register with your email ID and mobile number
- Login using the credentials received
- Upload the required documents (photo, signature, certificates)
- Fill in the online application form carefully
- Pay the admission fee using Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI
- Submit and download the confirmation page for your records
⚠️ Important Notes
- Keep your login credentials safe for future reference.
- IGNOU does not require a printed form to be sent to the regional centre.
- Students are advised to apply well before the last date to avoid last-minute issues.
- The admission portal supports online payment only.
IGNOU Admission Confirmation
After submitting their admission form online, the students will be able to track the progress of their admission within a time duration of one or two weeks through university official website.
As soon as their admission is confirmed, the applicant will be notified by sending the message on their registered mobile number and email ID with the System. In the case of online admission system, it takes the same time for Ignou admission confirmation as taken by the university for the offline system.
