IGNOU Prospectus 2026 – Download PDF online

Before filling up the IGNOU admission form, the students should obtain IGNOU prospectus 2026 from their nearest IGNOU Regional Centre.They can even download the hardcopy of it online from the university website.

For the learner’s convenience, the university provides the prospectus in both English & Hindi medium. It makes it easy for the learners to read it.

It provides the complete details about the university and various programmes offered by it such as Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Diploma, Certificate, Ph.D.,  M.Phil, etc.

The university provides common prospectus for all the programmes which are offered in January & July academic cycle except B.Ed, MBA, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (BSCN (PB)). The Indira Gandhi National Open University provides separate student handbook for these professional programmes.

After reading the prospectus, it becomes easy for the students to understand the courses and syllabus, the process for submitting assignments, IGNOU Term End Exam form, downloading IGNOU admit card, checking results, etc.

How to obtain IGNOU Prospectus?

The prospectus can be obtained via three methods:

Method 1:

The applicants can obtain the Ignou prospectus from their nearest regional centre by paying a fee of Rs.200/- at cash counters.

It covers almost all the Ignou programmes except few professional ones for which separate prospectus will be issued as I have already mentioned above.

The students can also obtain the prospectus from the Director, Student Service Centre, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.

Method 2:

Students can also request the prospectus at their doorsteps via post. For this, the applicant has to send the demand draft of Rs.250/- made in the favour IGNOU, New Delhi to “Registrar, Student Registration Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, 110068″.

Method 3:

They can download the soft copy of Ignou prospectus online from the university official website. This is the very easy and convenient method for learners to obtain it. But the only drawback is that student will obtain only the soft copy in the form of PDF file.
