On the request of Indian Nursing Council, the Indira Gandhi National Open University launched the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree programme under the School of Health Sciences(SOHS). It was launched in July 1994 and is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
The main reason behind the introduction of this course is to meet the increasing demand of higher education for working nurses.
