Ignou MA English Admission Procedure – The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to Master of Arts in English to the students from all over the country and abroad.
It is distance education learning programme in which the university offers admission every year in both January and July academic cycles. It is a two-year master degree course in the field of English Literature which has been developed by School of Humanities (SOH).
The main objective of the introduction of MA English(MEG) course in the university is to make the students eligible for productive careers in the field of English Literature. It provides the learners with a strong base in understanding the English language.
Also, it provides exposure to the learners about the wide range of English literature with an option to do specialization in a particular area. After completing the master degree for this discipline, the learners can pursue their career as teachers, lecturers, etc.

The University invites application from eligible learners to apply for admission to Ignou MA English in the month of February for July session and in the month of September for January session by publishing an advertisement in local newspapers. The last date to submit the filled-in admission form to the concerned Regional Centre can be checked in the latest advertisement or notification published by the University.
